Non profit organization
Room to Bloom is built by people who care; artists, donors, and supporters who believe that every child deserves comfort and creativity, even during their hardest days. Whether you want to share your art, help us print and deliver books, or simply spread the word, there are meaningful ways to be part of this project. Your support helps us create and donate creative journals to children and teens in pediatric psychiatric units. Every page we give starts with someone like you.
Share your creativity
Room To Bloom is built by people who care; artists, donors, and supporters who believe that every child deserves comfort and creativity, even during their hardest days. Your support helps us create and donate creative and mindful books to children and teens in pediatric psychiatric units. Every page we give starts with someone like you.

To contribute your artwork to Room to Bloom, simply email your illustrations to us at dellaforpediatrics@gmail.com. Please include your first and last name, along with a short note permitting us to include both your art and your name in the book. All drawings should be black and white line art, sized to fit a standard 8.5 x 11 inch page, and designed to be calming, gentle, and easy to color. By sending your art, you’re helping create something meaningful for children and teens in psychiatric care, and we’re so grateful to include your creativity in this project.
Spread the word
Sharing Room To Bloom helps us reach the people who can make this project real. When you tell a friend, post about it, or pass it along to someone who might care, you help us connect with artists, donors, and hospitals. It’s one of the simplest ways to support what we’re building, and it makes a real difference. Every share brings us closer to getting these books into the hands of kids who need something gentle to hold onto.
Engage with other areas of pediatric mental health support
Supporting pediatric mental health goes beyond one project. We encourage you to connect with organizations and nonprofits that focus on the emotional well-being of children and teens. Volunteering with pediatric mental health nonprofits helps strengthen a wider network of care for young people in need of support, safety, and understanding.
To find opportunities, look into local children’s hospitals, behavioral health centers, school counseling departments, and community-based nonprofits. You can also search online databases like VolunteerMatch or Idealist, or reach out to national organizations with local chapters.
Here are some ways to get involved:
-
Volunteer with nonprofits like NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) or Mental Health America that offer youth-focused programs
-
Support hospital-based child life and pediatric psychiatry teams
-
Help nonprofits assemble and distribute calming kits, resource packs, or coloring books to young patients
-
Assist with educational events and youth wellness workshops
-
Join after-school or community programs that focus on mental health support
-
Support pediatric-focused grief centers, trauma recovery groups, or suicide prevention programs
-
Offer your time to organizations like The Jed Foundation, Child Mind Institute, or Active Minds which have youth mental health initiatives
